The Firm has an extensive public finance practice. Our attorneys have decades of experience acting as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and trustee’s counsel in connection with the issuance of bonds by Puerto Rico governmental entities. The Firm has participated in most of the largest and most complex bond issues involving the Government of Puerto Rico, the most recent being the issuance of the first revenue bonds supported by sales tax proceeds. PMA’s attorneys also are regularly involved in representing underwriters and government entities in the creation of new financial structures to address special public financing needs. PMA was recently ranked seventh among US underwriters’ counsel firms for new issues of US Munis by Thomson Reuters.
